We're joined by Markeia McCarty (@markeiamccarty) of AfterBuzz TV Sailor Moon Crystal/numerous wrestling podcasts fame for an episode all about Ami's attempts at love (spoilers: there aren't many). We cover episode 27 of the 90s anime, the manga special act Exam Battle: Ami's First Love and the animated short of the same name. We finally start to make some sense of the dang Rainbow Crystals, actually kind of like Urawa-kun, and are delighted by the number of unnecessary birds added to animated version of Ami's First Love.

We're joined by adorable guest start Erika Ishii (@SamuraiErika) of Geek and Sundry/Twitch infamy to discuss Sailor Moon Super S the Movie: Black Dream Hole. Which isn't actually, but sounds extremely dirty. Kelby is offended by the use of a clarinet to represent the sound of what is clearly a flute-like instrument. We're all taken aback by some surprisingly phallic imagery and are once again convinced that being friends with Chibiusa always ends poorly.

The timing was too perfect for us to resist covering the first episode of Cute High Earth Defense Club Love Season 2, AKA Cute High Earth Defense Club Love LOVE! We're absolutely delighted by the number of high definition bare butts, the lingering sexual tension, and upgraded costumes/attacks/animation in general. Especially the big ass bows. That's big, ass bows.

It's the Sailor Moon Crystal season 3 finale!! This week we're covering act 38/episode 39 of Crystal, most of act 38 of the manga, and episodes 125 through 127 of the 90s anime, but mostly episode 126, which focuses on a very a confusing, seemingly unwarranted showdown between Moon, Uranus, and Neptune. It also contains a redemption storyline for Professor Tomoe in which, not only does he live, but he conveniently has amnesia, thus enabling him to live out a happy life with reborn baby Hotaru, with no memory of all the horrible things he did to her and all of mankind whilst possessed by Germatoid. Until Sailor Pluto shows up and takes Hotaru away two seasons from now. #Spoilers.

In another thrilling round of discussing episode 125 of the 90s anime version of Sailor Moon we also discuss episode 38/act 37 of Sailor Moon Crystal and act 37 of the manga. A four part epic battle in the manga was compressed into the last six to ten minutes of one episode of the 90s anime, so needless to say, it's a little less intense. As is Pharaoh 90 himself, who's been reduced to a beam of pink light. And Saturn, who just shows up and decides to save the world instead of destroying it like she's supposed to.

In this very emotional episode of Love and Justice, we cover episode 37/act 36 of Sailor Moon Crystal, act 36 of the manga and episode 125 of the 90s anime (yet again - and don't worry, we'll keep talking about it next week). We discuss the incredible struggle between Hotaru's soul and Mistress 9, praise Sailor Moon's message that familial love doesn't have to come from the people you are actually related to, and encourage everyone to embrace the doctrine of Princess/Neo-Queen Serenity: that, even when things seem bleak, and even though there are bad people in the world, in the end, love always wins.

This time around we're talking act 35 of Sailor Moon Crystal, act 35 of the manga and a little bit of episode 125 of the 90s anime. We're very pleased with the portrayal of Hotaru's mad scientist dad, love what Crystal did with Kaori's possession scene and are still confused as to what the Inner Senshi are attempting achieve by closing their eyes and kneeling with their backs to the Mugen Academy in the classic series.

This episode covers acts 33 & 34 of Sailor Moon Crystal, acts 33 & 34 of the manga and episodes 111, 123, and 124 of the 90s anime (yes, those first two are repeats). We are, shockingly, not surprised at all that a hospital in the Juuban district would let you walk out carrying the corpse of a child, delve deep into some Silver Millennium fan theories, and discover that Sailor Moon is probably the primary inspiration for every piece of pseudo-magical fiction that came after it.
